2. Data we collect

kalimamedialab.com is a presentation website: it has no accounts or newsletter. It only collects:

  • Technical browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, kept temporarily in the server logs for security and diagnostics.
  • Contact form data: name, email, organization (optional), chosen topic and message. They are used only to reply to you.
  • Data you send us: if you email us, your address and the content of your message.

3. Cookies

The site does not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. It uses a single technical cookie:

  • kalima_lingua: remembers the language you chose, so you find it again on your next visit. It lasts one year and contains no personal data.

As a technical cookie, it does not require consent.

4. Third-party services

  • Anthropic (Claude): the text of the contact form is sent to Claude, the artificial intelligence of Anthropic PBC (United States), which prepares the first automatic reply and a summary for us. Anthropic processes the data on our behalf, does not use it to train its models, and the transfer is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses. The automatic reply is labelled as such, and then a person replies to you.
  • Sending emails: replies are sent through our email provider.
  • Google Fonts: the site's fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your browser's IP address.
  • Arabita and Banglita: news headlines are read by our server; your browser does not contact those sites until you click a link.
  • Social networks: links to Instagram, Facebook and Telegram lead to external sites with their own privacy policies.

  • Operating and securing the site
  • Remembering your chosen language
  • Replying to people who write to us, including with a first automatic reply (legal basis: your request and your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR)

6. Sharing with third parties

Personal data is not sold, transferred or shared with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. The site does not include Facebook tracking pixels, Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service.

7. Data retention

Technical browsing data is kept in the server logs for a maximum of 30 days. Contact form messages are not stored on the website: they reach us by email and, like the emails we receive, are kept for as long as needed to reply and to manage any relationship that follows, up to 24 months if no relationship follows.

8. Your rights

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access: obtain confirmation of whether data about you exists
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: ask for your data to be deleted ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: object to processing at any time
